In order to equip students with relevant skills to face the world of work, the Visual Communication Design Study Program of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design ISI Yogyakarta held a Teaching Practitioner activity for the Presentation Technique course. This activity aims to train students to become professional designers who are able to work with clients effectively through mastery of presentation techniques.
This program features Lusy Laksita, an expert in public speaking with more than 30 years of professional experience as an MC, radio announcer, trainer and consultant. public speaking. During the program, practitioners taught students about the importance of effective presentation as one of the keys to success in working in the creative industry. Presentation skills are not just about speaking, but about how to convey ideas in a clear, interesting and convincing manner. This is especially important for a designer who often has to sell creative concepts to clients.
In the lessons held on October 17, 18, 24 and 25, students were given material about the stages of presentation which included preparation, preparation of materials, implementation, and evaluation. The focus is on how to build structured and directed communication so that the message to be conveyed can be well received by the audience. In addition, students are also trained to master the competencies of 3V in public speakingIn the presentation of visual communication design, the students will learn to present their work verbally, vocally and visually. Armed with knowledge from practitioners, students practice the presentation of visual communication design work individually and in groups. Students are asked to present their design projects in front of practitioners and lecturers, who then provide evaluation and feedback. This approach provides hands-on experience for students on how to deal with clients and respond to questions or feedback professionally.
