The Program Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Wilayah Seni (P3Wilsen), established by the Community Service Institute of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, is a step forward in supporting local arts development. By focusing on a specific area consisting of at least one kalurahan, the program aims to assist artists and art groups in the community.
P3Wilsen involves two lecturers as prime movers, supported by six students who have competencies according to the type of art group being fostered. This collaboration not only ensures the sustainability of the program, but also offers a variety of perspectives and skills needed to support holistic arts development.
Lecturers and students not only act as facilitators, but also contribute to the development and training of art groups at the community level. Through this method, it is hoped that the program can strengthen local cultural identity, increase community participation in the arts, and create a supportive environment for creative economic growth.
P3Wilsen is more than just a coaching program; it is a real effort to enhance and encourage the arts as an important component of local social and economic development. In addition, the program supports the college's vision as an agent of change that focuses on empowering communities through the power of arts and culture.
