Community service activities with a focus on the application of art, science, and technology are carried out by the Institute of Community Service of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. This institution functions as an academic executive element under the auspices of the Rectorate and is responsible for managing resources and organizing various activities that devote themselves to the community. ISI Yogyakarta's Special Allocation Fund (DIPA) assists these programs, in addition to getting support from external funding sources such as DRTPM.
We are committed to increasing the relevance of ISI Yogyakarta programs to meet the needs of the community through community service activities. Therefore, the Institute of Community Service of ISI Yogyakarta not only handles the administrative affairs of the institution, but also functions as a driver of change through art and culture to improve the quality of life of the community. The Institute of Community Service has the task of organizing community service activities and helping to seek the necessary resources.
The Institute of Community Service (LPM) at Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta) prioritizes three main activities as part of the Center for Community Service and Education. These activities not only implement the third dharma of higher education, namely Community Service, but also embody ISI Yogyakarta's commitment to developing and promoting the community.
ISI Yogyakarta has the first program, Program Pembinaan dan Pengembangan Wilayah Seni (P3Wilsen), which aims to assist and foster art actors and art groups in various kalurahan with a focus on local art development. P3Wilsen also aims to encourage creativity and sustainability in the arts.
Art Counseling was the second activity. The goal was to give the actors
art and art groups in the society of education and knowledge about art. In this situation, ISI Yogyakarta students and lecturers help spread innovative and relevant art knowledge and techniques.
The third program is the Art Workshop, in which art teachers from educational institutions
public and private schools have the opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge in the arts. This workshop not only improves the skills of art teachers, but also helps improve the quality of art education in schools.
