Continued cooperation of Dance Study Program with SItubondo Education and Culture Office

Situbondo Ethnic Festival (SEF) is an annual festival held by the Situbondo Education and Culture Office. This festival is an innovation and idea from the regent of Situbondo with the concept of Choreography on the street whose presentation is colossal. In 2023, the Situbondo Education and Culture Office invited the Dance Study Program to participate in SEF 2023 with the theme Situbondo Legend, Situbondo Greet Indonesia Proud. Dance Study Program students through the MBKM project Independent program submitted the work of Roro Jonggrang representing the Dance Study Program of FSP ISI Yogyakarta in the 2023 SEF Festival. Dance Study Program students won the Best Presenter category for participants from outside the region, competing with ISI Surakarta, Malang State University, Jakarta Institute of Arts, ISI Denpasar, and several other leading universities.

                Departing from the success of the Dance Study Program in the event, the Dance Study Program took the initiative to continue the previous cooperative relationship with the Situbondo Education and Culture Office which had invited the Dance Study Program in SEF 2023.

                In 2024, the Dance Study Program through the 2024 Dance Study Program PKKM program collaborated and signed an IA (Implementation Arrangement) with the SItubondo Education and Culture Office. The signing of the IA was carried out on July 18, 2024 at the Grand Zuri Yogyakarta hotel. The signing was carried out by Hj. Siti Aisyah, S.H., M.Si. As the Head of the Situbondo Education and Culture Office, Dr. Rina Martiara, M.Hum. As the Head of Dance Department, and Dr. I Nyoman Cau Arsana, S.Sn., M.Hum. As the Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta. The scope of this collaboration will be the MBKM Internship and research program for Dance students at the Situbondo Education and Culture Office which will be held in September-December 2024. The scope of activities recommended as a potential Cultural Advancement Object (OPK) in Situbondo will be the Keket art object in the Perente village area, Asembagus District, the arts in Kilensari Village, Panarukan District (Daya Desa), and the SAMMAN Tradition in Kalirejo, Sumbermalang.
