Yogyakarta - Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta received a visit of friendship and coordination from the Sewon Police Sector (Polsek) on Tuesday, February 4, 2026, at the VIP Room, 2nd Floor Rectorate Building, ISI Yogyakarta. This visit was an introduction agenda for the newly appointed Sewon Police Chief, as well as strengthening institutional communication in the context of security coordination and developing cooperation between ISI Yogyakarta and Sewon Police.
The Sewon Police delegation was led by Sewon Police Chief AKP Sutrisno, accompanied by Panit Provos Ipda Diky, Panit Binmas Ipda Jedik, Kasium Aiptu Sigit Artanto, and Bripka Anjar. The presence of the Sewon Police ranks was intended to strengthen friendship and build initial coordination regarding security and order in the ISI Yogyakarta campus environment.
The visit was received directly by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. along with the leadership and related officials, namely the Vice Rector II, Vice Rector III, Head of BAKK Bureau, Head of BPKU Bureau, and Head of General and Academic Affairs. On this occasion, ISI Yogyakarta congratulated the new mandate of the Sewon Police Chief and prayed that he could carry out his duties well and make a positive contribution to society, especially in maintaining the regional security situation.




The meeting took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere, with discussions focusing on a number of strategic issues, especially ahead of Ramadan. Security coordination became one of the main topics, including anticipatory steps to keep the situation on campus and the surrounding environment safe and conducive. In addition, the dynamics of student activities were also discussed, as part of a joint effort to ensure that student activities run in an orderly manner and support a healthy academic climate.
During the meeting, plans for educational activities in the form of traffic training for students were also presented. This program is planned as an effort to increase student awareness, discipline, and compliance with traffic regulations. In line with this, the two parties also discussed the arrangement of traffic flow in the ISI Yogyakarta environment, including the arrangement of vehicle movement points in the campus area to improve order and safety.
Other discussions included coordination related to the assistance of security personnel at ISI Yogyakarta as part of strengthening the campus security system. In addition to the security aspect, the meeting also opened space for discussion regarding the cooperation agenda and potential collaboration that could be developed in the future, both in the form of assistance, education, and coaching programs that are relevant to the needs of the institution and campus environment.
Through this visit, ISI Yogyakarta emphasized its commitment to continue to build synergies with stakeholders, including the local police, in order to create a safe, orderly and conducive campus environment for the entire academic community. The established coordination is expected to strengthen joint efforts in supporting the smooth implementation of academic activities, student affairs, and institutional development.
