Strengthening Satpam Patrol and Security, ISI Yogyakarta Reinforces Commitment to Safe and Professional Campus Governance

Yogyakarta — The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta continues to strengthen campus security and order through morning roll calls for its Security Unit (Satpam), led by Lina Setiawati, S.Kom., M.M., Head of the General Affairs Division of the Bureau of Planning, Finance, and General Affairs at ISI Yogyakarta, on campus grounds on Tuesday (04/14/2026). This activity is part of personnel development efforts and the strengthening of the Satpam's core duties and functions to support the creation of a safe, orderly, and conducive campus environment.

In her direction, Lina Setiawati emphasized the important role of security guards as the front line in maintaining the stability of the campus environment. Therefore, the implementation of patrol, security, escort, and patrol duties needs to be carried out with discipline, alertness, and full responsibility.

The strengthening of these duties is considered important along with the dynamics of campus activities that demand preparedness, accuracy, and professionalism from security personnel. The presence of security guards not only functions to maintain order but also becomes an important part of institutional services in creating a comfortable academic atmosphere for the entire academic community.

In addition to emphasizing human resource strengthening, the morning assembly also serves as a moment for coordination regarding the maintenance needs of security facilities and infrastructure. Evaluation of security support equipment is necessary so that all facilities can function optimally and support the effectiveness of tasks in the field.

Through this activity, ISI Yogyakarta reaffirms its commitment to building professional, responsive, and service-oriented campus governance. Regular training for security guards is one of the strategic steps to ensure campus security is maintained, while also supporting a productive and competitive academic climate.

As a continuously evolving institution of art, ISI Yogyakarta views security and order as a crucial foundation in supporting the implementation of the university's three core missions (Tridharma). By strengthening the training of security personnel, ISI Yogyakarta continues to foster an educational environment that is increasingly organized, humane, and impactful.
