A number of national and local media representatives were present to obtain direct information related to policies, priority programs, and strategic targets of ISI Yogyakarta in 2026, including strengthening the institution's reputation at the national and international levels.

Throughout 2025, Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta made various strategic achievements that emphasized its position as a leading arts university in Indonesia with an increasingly strong international reputation. Global academic achievements, academic community achievements, strengthening international networks, and commitment to clean governance and professional public services are important foundations for the direction of ISI Yogyakarta's future development. One of the most prominent achievements in 2025 was the success of ISI Yogyakarta in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. ISI Yogyakarta is listed as the best Art University in Indonesia for two main fields, namely Performing Arts and Art & Design. In the category of Performing Arts, ISI Yogyakarta is ranked #1 in Indonesia, #23 in Asia, and #113 in the world, while in the fields of Art & Design ranked #30 in Asia and #112 in the world. This achievement reflects global recognition of academic quality, institutional reputation, and the relevance of art and design practices developed within ISI Yogyakarta.

This academic reputation is in line with the achievements of students who throughout 2025 stood out at the national and international levels. Animation Study Program students won the Gold Award at the S.E.E.D Indonesia 2025 event organized by KOICA, while performing arts students dominated various dance and art competitions at the national level. In the realm of the creative industry, the work of ISI Yogyakarta Visual Communication Design students was even chosen as the official packaging design for the national product Teh Botol Sosro 2025, showing a strong connection between art education and industry needs.

Student achievements are also seen in the realm of cultural diplomacy and international forums. ISI Yogyakarta student representatives appeared in the CHANDI Summit 2025 which was attended by dozens of countries, and participated in various regional collaboration programs such as the ASEAN Workshop in Thailand and art festivals in Malaysia. This achievement emphasizes the role of ISI Yogyakarta students as ambassadors of Indonesian art and culture at the global level.

In the academic and research fields, ISI Yogyakarta throughout 2025 actively organized various international scientific forums. Among them are The 7th International Conference on Performing Arts (ICPA) 2025 which raises the issue of intermediality of performing arts in the era of artificial intelligence, and the International Dance Conference and Festival (IDCF) 2025 which highlights the relationship between dance, technology and ecological awareness. The presence of these conferences and festivals strengthens ISI Yogyakarta's position as a center for interdisciplinary scientific dialogue and contemporary art practice.

In addition to strengthening academic and global engagement, 2025 is also an important momentum for ISI Yogyakarta in building an Integrity Zone (ZI) towards clean, transparent and accountable institutional governance. ISI Yogyakarta received assistance from LLDIKTI Region V in filling out the Integrity Zone Evaluation Worksheet, while strengthening the implementation of the six areas of change in bureaucratic reform. A number of faculties, including the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, also signed a commitment to the development of the Integrity Zone as part of the transformation of campus work culture.

Strengthening integrity is also realized through fostering discipline and national insight for ASN and PPPK employees at ISI Yogyakarta. This program emphasizes that institutional excellence does not only rest on academic achievement, but also on ethics, professionalism, and the quality of sustainable public services.

These various achievements are the basis for ISI Yogyakarta in formulating the direction of future development. Through the holding of the Public Test of the ISI Yogyakarta Strategic Plan 2025-2029, this institution emphasizes its commitment to continue to improve the quality of arts education, expand international collaborations, strengthen links with the creative industry, and present modern university governance and integrity. With global achievements, achievements of the academic community, and strengthening governance throughout 2025, ISI Yogyakarta is increasingly solidifying its steps as an internationally competitive arts college, rooted in Indonesian cultural values, and ready to answer the challenges of higher education in the arts in the future.
