Batik Craft Fashion Design (DMKB) students of ISI Yogyakarta displayed their works in front of French designers and fashion players, on July 25, 2025, in Yogyakarta. The students' works were displayed during a fashion show held at the French-Indonesian incubator program "PINTU". In this program 20 French designers and fashion sector players participated in professional meetings, workshops, and cultural visits.
PINTU is a bilateral program designed for fashion creatives and SMEs from Indonesia and France. The program aims to prepare talent for the international stage, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and traditional craftsmanship.
PINTU aims to create a more creative and impactful fashion industry landscape, both for industry players and consumers, through the development of projects that preserve the outstanding culture of craftsmanship and traditional knowledge from Indonesia and France, to make it more visible and widely recognized.
The collaboration with ISI Yogyakarta provided an opportunity for DMKB FSRD ISI Yogyakarta to showcase the creative results of its students in a fashion show. The works displayed were 10 creations of DMKB students with unique talents. The event was opened by Vincent Degoul, Deputy Director of Institut français Indonesia, and Mrs. Thresia Mareta, founder of Lakon Indonesia.
For DMKB FSRD ISI Yogyakarta, this is an opportunity to celebrate the exchange between France and Indonesia and to open new relationships. In addition, it can be an inspiration and motivation for students to develop more interesting creativity in their work and as a form of French - Indonesian cultural collaboration.
