The S-1 Art Management Study Program FSRD ISI Yogyakarta will hold an exhibition of its students' final projects. The exhibition is titled "Makaryo / Lestari" and is held in the form of posters and infographics using various materials. This exhibition was held at the Art Management Department Building - FSRD ISI Yogyakarta June 12-22, 2023 at 09.00-15.00 WIB (closed holidays). The exhibition that presents information on the results of this research was attended by 20 students who have successfully completed their final project in the even semester of 2022/2023. The special examination will be held on June 19-20.
The title "Makaryo/Lestari" is related to the purpose of the exhibition. The purpose of this exhibition is to see the extent of the development of students who have gone through the learning period during the last 4-5 years. From here we can see the changes or significant values that can be noted during this time. Another goal is to develop a discourse on the science of art management in the treasures of fine arts, performing arts, film and other arts.
Some of their research titles include "Preventive Conservation of Weapons at the Central Museum of the Army" by Maulaha Ibrohim. There is also research on "Evaluation of the Storage Room of the Yogyakarta Fort Vredeburg Museum" by Sandhya Parama Brahmasthana. On the other hand, research and creation of an annotated catalog of Butet Kartarajasa and Bagong Kussudiarjo by Emillo In Zighana and Riski Aulia. Other research titles in the organizational field can be read in the title "Implementation of the Padepokan Bagong Kussudiarjo Partnership Program" by Yudis Ritmana. Or a study of film distribution with the title "Reading the Flow of Film Distribution Penyalin Cahaya" by Adinda Ayu.
It is clear that the essence of some of these research results is closely related to the field of culture. In order for culture to be sustainable and meaningful for every generation, smart and creative work is needed. The fields of human resources, art restoration, distribution of creative products such as paintings to films, exhibition curation, entertainment, documentation/archives, & exhibitions of various works of art need to be elaborated. This real work inspired the students' research as well as the presentation in this exhibition. The sole purpose is to help build and preserve art/culture in Indonesia.
"It can be said that this is a final project that is useful for cultural arts activists in Indonesia," said Dr. Mikke Susanto, Head of Department / Study Program S-1 Art Management ISI Yogyakarta. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
