ISI Yogyakarta and the Government of Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province, signed an MoU on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Meeting Room I, ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building. The signing of this MoU marks the beginning of cooperation between the two institutions. At the signing of this MoU ISI Yogyakarta was represented by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. and the Berau Regency Government, represented by the Head of the Culture and Tourism Office, Ir. Ilyas Natsir. The signing of the MoU was also attended by the Vice Rector I of ISI Yogyakarta, the Head of BAAKPSI and the Head and leaders of LPPM ISI Yogyakarta as well as officials from the Berau Regency Government.
Both institutions agreed to develop their potential for mutual progress. Through this collaboration, the Berau Regency Government hopes that ISI Yogyakarta will be able to provide assistance to optimize the potential of the region, culture and art so as to stimulate creative economic growth in Berau Regency, as stated by Ir. Ilyas Natsir when delivering remarks in the MoU signing process. Meanwhile, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. advised that this MoU should not become a sleeping MoU so that both institutions can maximally benefit from the signed MoU. On this occasion, Assistant Rector I, ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. also said that ISI Yogyakarta will optimize the Merdeka Learning Program at Merdeka Campus so that the assistance provided will get maximum results.
The signing of the cooperation document ended with the handover of souvenirs and a group photo. Hopefully the signing of this MoU can provide benefits for the progress of both institutions.
