Delegation of Shanghai Art Collection Museum Visit FSR ISI Yogyakarta in order to Discuss Cooperation

A delegation from Shanghai Art Collection Museum (SACM) consisting of Hu Muqing (President of SACM), Mao Siwei (Manager of External Relations Department, and Zheng Yue (Director of Academic and Collection) on Thursday, March 30, 2023 visited the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta to hold a meeting with faculty leaders. The meeting fulfilled the agenda of the SACM team for 2 days in Yogyakarta, after previously they visited Borobudur Temple, Borobudur Museum as well as a meeting with the Museum team and visited the Kotagede silver center and Kasongan ceramic center.

At the meeting at FSR ISI Yogyakarta, the SACM delegation discussed several works of ISI lecturers who passed the selection and were included in the International Traditional Fine Arts exhibition in 2022. This year the SACM invited back to FSR to be able to exhibit at The International Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts and give a speech at The 11th event.th International Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Forum: All Rivers Flow to the Sea - International Cooperation and National Expression of Intangible Cultural Heritage. This event is planned to take place in June 2023.

In addition to these two events, SACM also made an offer to the FSR to collaborate in various activities, such as visiting lecture and Artist, exchange student, and collaboration in exhibitions, workshops and other cultural activities. For this activity, SACM will work with the Shanghai Art and Design Academy (SADA) and act as a mediator between ISI Yogyakarta and SADA. The entire cooperation agenda plan will be legalized in the form of an MoU and signed by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta and the President of SACM.

The FSR ISI Yogyakarta represented by the Dean of FSR, Prof. Dr. Timbul Raharjo, M.Hum along with his staff, namely PD 1, PD 2 and PD 3 enthusiastically welcomed the various activity offers. The faculty leaders hope that the partnership can benefit both parties and even both countries. This cooperation is also expected to enrich the horizons of both lecturers and students of FSR ISI Yogyakarta and expand global associations in the constellation of the art world.
