The Alumni Association of the Indonesian Dance Academy (ASTI) and the Dance Department of ISI Yogyakarta are organizing a workshop with the theme "Hasta Sawanda in Various Perspectives". The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 08.00 to 13.00 WIB online via Zoom Meeting. This workshop will present speakers Retno Maruti, Wahyu Santoso Prabowo, S.Kar. M.S., Dr. Bambang Pudjaswara, S.ST. M.Hum., Dr. Daryono, S.Kar. M.Hum., Blacius Subono, S.Kar. M.Sn. and St. Wiyono, S.Kar. The workshop will be hosted by moderators Dr. Sumaryono, M.A. and Dr. Ni Nyoman Sudewi, S.ST. M.Hum. In this workshop will also be presented keynote speaker Dr. Sal Murgiyanto, S.St. M.A.
Hastha Sawanda are eight elements in the field of dance that are absolute requirements to be considered by a dancer. The eight elements consist of pacak, pancat, lulut, luwes, ulat, wilet, wirama and gending. Movement, expression, character and musical accompaniment are some of the elements that need to be considered by a dancer. Understanding hastha sawanda can affect the quality of the dance created or performed. Seeing the urgency of understanding hastha sawanda encouraged the ASTI Alumni Association and the Dance Department of ISI Yogyakarta to organize a workshop with the theme "Hasta Sawanda in Various Perspectives".
