Extension of Registration Period for Independent Student Exchange 2

The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) of the Ministry of Education and Culture has extended the registration period for the Merdeka Student Exchange (PMM) 2. Registration for the PMM 2 program is extended until June 3, 2022, at 23:59 WIB. The extension of the registration period is due to high interest from students to join the PMM 2 program.

PMM itself is one of the flagship programs of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) of the Ministry of Education and Culture which provides opportunities for students to exercise their learning rights outside the study program and outside the original university (PT). PMM 1, which was held in 2021, was attended by 11,464 students from 215 receiving or sending universities. Meanwhile, this year, PPM 2 is targeted to be opened to 16,000 students who can choose one university from 194 recipient universities. 2022 is the second year of PMM2 implementation.

To join this program, students must meet various requirements. The requirements for students to join this program include

  1. Active students under the Ministry of Education and Culture, registered in the Higher Education Database (PDDikti), and in the second to sixth semester during the registration period;
  2. Never participated in the PMM Program;
  3. Not being actively enrolled in another Kampus Merdeka Program at the time of the program;
  4. Never been subject to academic and non-academic sanctions;
  5. Have a letter of permission from the sending company;
  6. Obtain parent/guardian permission to attend PMM 2;
  7. Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 during the PMM 2 registration period;
  8. Have an identity card (KTP);
  9. Having or willing to make an active account at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) or Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in the name of the student concerned;
  10. Preferably have active health insurance in the form of BPJS Health or Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS);
  11. Have received a minimum of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine; and
  12. Willing to comply with all provisions of PMM 2 and willing to accept the consequences for violating the provisions of PMM 2.

By participating in PMM 2, ISI Yogyakarta students will have the opportunity to study outside the ISI Yogyakarta campus for one semester. Learning experiences on other campuses will provide opportunities to learn cultures from other regions, train communication skills and train leadership skills.
