In this Covid-19 pandemic situation, the 36th anniversary of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta will be different from previous years. ISI Yogyakarta will hold an Open Senate Session in the framework of the 36th Anniversary virtually on May 30, 2020.
At a press conference at the ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building, Tuesday (5/19/2020), the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum said that the 36th Anniversary with the theme "Excellent Human Resources: Creative, Innovative and Nationality. Learning from the Corona Pandemic" was filled with main activities, namely open senate sessions, seminars and exhibitions.
The Open Senate Session scheduled to be held on Saturday (30/5/2020) will be held according to the Covid-19 health protocol, attended by a maximum of ten people consisting of the chairman of the senate, secretary of the senate, senate members, and host. At the event, a speech and annual report will be delivered by the Rector followed by a Scientific Speech "Building Character and Identity Modeling the Creativity and Innovation of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono I" by Dr. Raharja, S.Sn., M.M..
Academic seminar activities will also take place virtually with the theme Creativity and Nationality: Art Toward the Half of the 21st Century. This activity begins with call of papers from April 25 to May 5, 2020. The committee received 101 abstracts, 33 abstracts were selected which were continued into scientific papers by each author. This year there is no face-to-face conference as part of the academic seminar, but the committee will hold a Book Launch "Creativity & Nationality: Art Towards the Half of the XXI Century" on August 17, 2020.
In addition, there will also be a Virtual Art Exhibition & Showcase "Creative in the Midst of Pandemic" on August 1-30, 2020.
