Welcomed by PD 3 of the Faculty of Performing Arts, J. Catur Wibono, M. Sn; Head of the Dance Department, Dra. Supriyanti, M.Hum; and Dindin Heryadi, M.Sn Secretary of the Dance Department, they were welcomed at the Dance Department's Pendhapa.
Numbering 50 people, the Semarang University students participated in Cultural Safari to learn more about Dance and Karawitan at ISI Yogyakarta.
Chairperson of HMJ Dance: Dita Indah Kartikagave a presentation on makeup, clothing, basic movements of Yogyakarta style female dance, while the Head of HMJ Karawitan: Nur Ismatul Zulfa explained about the differences between Yogyakarta and Surakarta style Karawitan and the creative process of song creation.
On this occasion USM Semarang was treated to a Sekar Pudyastuti Dance performance by students of the Dance Department, and a Karawitan performance with Ladrang Asmaradana, Pelog pathet Barang and Lancaran Gugur Gunung Pelog pathet Barang by Karawitan students.
