Yogyakarta November 21, 2025 - The Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta in collaboration with Frogs Indonesia launched a creative project entitled “Art on Drone”, an initiative that combines drone technology innovation with the visual richness of the archipelago's culture. This collaboration is a strategic step to show that the nation's technological work can have a strong local character and identity.
Through this project, two students of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta, Sintia Nurul Oktania and Cruz Kyrie Pamangin, were directly involved in the process of painting the top cover of the drone produced by Frogs Indonesia. Both present works with their respective philosophies and meanings, which represent the diversity of Indonesian culture through a contemporary visual approach.
Frogs Indonesia believes that art and technology do not have to operate separately. Instead, they can complement each other to produce innovations that are not only functional, but also have aesthetic value and cultural identity. Via “Art on Drone”, They integrate fine arts into drone product development as an effort to strengthen the characteristics and competitiveness of the national technology industry.
For ISI Yogyakarta, the involvement of students in this project is proof of the contribution of art universities in supporting the ecosystem of creativity-based innovation. This collaboration also opens up space for students to apply their artistic expertise to unconventional mediums.
Project “Art on Drone” called the beginning of a long-term collaboration between ISI Yogyakarta and Frogs Indonesia. Going forward, both institutions are committed to expanding creative explorations that connect art, technology and local wisdom, in order to produce products with strong identity and relevance to future needs.
This collaboration is expected to be an example of the synergy of innovation and creativity that can elevate the potential of Indonesian art and technology to a higher level.
