Aninobar 2025: A New Stage for Young Animators ISI Yogyakarta Addresses the Public Through Collaboration with JNM Bloc

Yogyakarta, October 14, 2025 - The world of local animation is getting a new injection of enthusiasm through the presence of Aninobar 2025, a collaborative program between the Animation Student Association (HIMA) of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta and JNM Bloc, which was officially launched as an appreciation space as well as a creative bridge between the campus and the public.

Held in the creative area of JNM Bloc, this program opens space for the animation works of ISI Yogyakarta students to appear before the wider community, making student-made animated short films part of a public spectacle that deserves to be appreciated.

The Head of Animation HIMA said that Aninobar was born out of the need to bring together the two worlds: academia and the creative industry. "We see the importance of providing a professional space for students to show their work, not only in the classroom or campus, but also in the community," he said in the opening of the event.

Aninobar is a development of the previous event titled Layar Aniversal, which successfully screened eight animation works of 2024 students. Based on the high enthusiasm of the event, HIMA Animasi then designed a format that was more open, consistent, and inclusive for all students of the ISI Yogyakarta Animation Study Program.

Not only a screening space, Aninobar is also designed as an educational platform. Students are given first-hand experience of how their work is curated, promoted, and welcomed by a public audience-a process that is very close to the reality of the animation industry.

The collaboration with JNM Bloc, known as one of the important nodes in Yogyakarta's creative community network, reinforces Aninobar's goal to become a regular and sustainable platform. With the support of qualified space and infrastructure, this event is a strategic opportunity to build connections between young creators and creative industry players.

Aninobar is also a concrete step for ISI Yogyakarta's Animation Study Program in equipping its students with important soft skills such as presentation of work, public speaking, and teamwork in the production and promotion of short films.

"This is more than just a screening event. It is a real practice and the beginning of the professional journey of young animators. Hopefully, Aninobar can be an agenda that continues to live and grow, even after the students graduate," added the Chief Executive of the event.

With the spirit of collaboration and long-term vision, Aninobar is expected to strengthen ISI Yogyakarta's position as one of the centers for the birth of quality animation talents who are able to compete in Indonesia's creative industry, even the world.
