The Education Attaché of Timor Leste to Indonesia, Jaime Andre Simoes had an audience with the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. on Wednesday, June 04, 2025. On this occasion, the Education Attaché of Timor Leste was accompanied by Herminio C. Almedia as Assistant Education Attaché and Steffani Deni S., Secretary of the Education Attaché of Timor Leste to Indonesia. The purpose of this audience is to establish cooperation with ISI Yogyakarta as one of the art universities with international reputation.
In his speech, the Education Attaché of Timor Leste to Indonesia, Jaime Andre Simoes said that the purpose of this visit was to build cooperation with ISI Yogyakarta. This year the Government of Timor Leste will provide opportunities for eight of Timor Leste's best sons and daughters to continue their studies and they chose ISI Yogyakarta, he continued.
ISI Yogyakarta has the Faculty of Performing Arts, the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and the Postgraduate Program, said the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. responding to a statement delivered by the Education Attaché of Timor Leste to Indonesia. He further said that prospective students can choose one of the study programs in three Faculties and one Postgraduate Program. The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta hopes that this visit is the beginning of cooperation for greater implementation.
At the end of the hearing, the two institutional leaders agreed to prepare an MoU as a basis for cooperation and follow-up meetings through zoom. This follow-up meeting was held in order to provide information on the profile of the study program and clarify the interest in choosing a study program from the scholarship recipients.
