ISI Yogyakarta and the University of Indonesia signed an MoU on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel. At the signing of this MoU, ISI Yogyakarta, represented by Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. and the University of Indonesia represented by Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D as the highest leaders of the two universities. The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by the leaders of ISI Yogyakarta and Universitas Indonesia.
Art and Culture are valuable assets that if managed properly can bring prosperity to the community, said Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A. before the ceremonial signing of the MoU. He further said that Indonesia needs to learn from South Korea, which is able to brand and disseminate arts and culture so that it can prosper the Korean people. It is on this basis that the University of Indonesia is moved to collaborate with ISI Yogyakarta in order to be able to utilize Indonesian arts and culture for the welfare of the Indonesian people.
ISI Yogyakarta expressed its gratitude for the choice of the University of Indonesia to partner with ISI Yogyakarta, said the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta also said that today I understand why the University of Indonesia chose ISI Yogyakarta as a collaborative partner. Hopefully through this collaboration ISI Yogyakarta and the University of Indonesia will be able to optimize the potential of arts and culture for the welfare of the Indonesian people.
