On Friday, August 9, 2024, the Photography Study Program of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta held a collaboration development activity with Jonas Photo at Jonas Photo Head Office, Bandung. This activity is part of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM) which aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in the field of photography.
ISI Yogyakarta Photography Study Program was represented by the Department Secretary, Novan Jemmy Andrea M.Sn, along with the PKKM team consisting of Pamungkas Wahyu Setiawan M.Sn and Raynald Alfian Yudisetyanto M.Phil. During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for cooperation which included the MBKM internship program and joint research focusing on the development of photography and digital imaging technology.
This collaboration is expected to synergize the academic world with the business world and industry, so that it can support the learning process at ISI Yogyakarta and support the Merdeka Campus program. With this collaboration, students are expected to gain hands-on experience in the industry, while the industry can contribute to curriculum development and research that is relevant to current needs.
This collaboration is a strategic step in strengthening the position of the ISI Yogyakarta Photography Study Program as an art education institution that is able to answer the challenges of technological developments and the photography industry in the digital era. (PKKM FT Team)
