After participating in the Exchange Students program for 1 semester, 6 students of the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta, consisting of 4 students from the Craft Department, 1 student from the Design Department and 1 from the Pure Art Department exhibited their work during their education at the School of Arts, Shanghai Art & Design Academy, China. In addition, 4 students from the Craft Department, namely: Christabel, Gheitsa Alya, Prasasti and Nazka also gave Indonesian Batik workshops to students and lecturers at the School of Handicraft Arts, SADA.
During their time at SADA, the six students studied crafts, such as ceramics, textiles, jewelry and glass art. Of course, they gained a lot of valuable and unforgettable experiences there. The President of SADA, Mr. Song Lie who opened the exhibition gave high appreciation to the students from FSR ISI Yogyakarta who showed a very good and impressive performance. The exhibition was held from June 16-19, 2024. The students of FSR ISI Yogyakarta always work hard, never give up and are eager to learn and create fascinating craft works. Of course this is very proud of the ISI Yogyakarta academic community, especially the Faculty of Fine Arts. Teaching staff of the Craft Department as well as Assistant Dean of the FSR, Dr. Yulriawan Dafri, M.Hum who was also present at SADA to open the exhibition with the President of SADA expressed his deepest gratitude to SADA for accepting and providing the best knowledge for the six students. Dr. Yulriawan Dafri also gave a workshop on Indonesian Batik with the four Kriya students. All workshop participants were so enthusiastic to follow the workshop to the end and create Batik works according to their respective characters.
