Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), Ir. Suharti, MA, Ph.D. inaugurated Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. as Rector of ISI Yogyakarta on May 17, 2024, at Plasa Insan Berprestasi, Kemendikbudristek. With this inauguration Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. will lead ISI Yogyakarta for the next 4 years. The inauguration of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta coincided with the inauguration of 3 leaders of other state universities, 2 high-ranking pratama officials, 4 administrator officials, 3 supervisory officials, and 16 functional officials.
The inauguration ceremony began with singing the Indonesia Raya song. The event continued with the taking of oaths or promises of office and the inauguration was carried out by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ir. Suharti, MA, Ph.D, followed by the installation of the necklace of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn.
In her remarks, Suharti, MA, Ph.D said that the transformation that the Ministry of Research and Technology has been working on for almost 5 years is expected to provide a new direction for the world of education and culture in Indonesia. Furthermore, she conveyed that improving service quality is given the highest place in the Merdeka Belajar and Merdeka Berbudaya policies to ensure that what the Ministry of Research and Technology does provides significant added value to the people served. At the end of his remarks, he advised "may we all be given the strength to carry out the mandate to lead development in the field of education and culture in educating the nation's life.
