Students of the Department of Dance, Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP) ISI Yogyakarta will perform at Jogja Joged 2024, on April 29, 2024, at 19.45 - 20.45, at the Merapi Mountain Museum. At Jogja Joged 2024, students of the Department of Dance, FSP ISI Yogyakarta will perform a work entitled BooM & BAM. The dance performance entitled BooM & BAM is the result of the Independent Project of Dance Department Students, FSRP ISI Yogyakarta. This performance involves 25 supporters consisting of 20 students and 5 lecturers as well as Panggah Pangestu as composer and Byaktha Project as choreographer.
BooM & BAM is a dance that uses stomping as the main movement. The stomping is done through a process, either walking, stepping, or jumping, which will produce the quality of motion. The strength of the stomp is a trigger for enthusiasm to produce the desired quality of motion.
Students and lecturers of the Department of Dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta are always involved in Jogja Joged. Jogja Joged is an annual activity organized in commemoration of World Dance Day. In 2024 Jogja Joged will feature 550 cross-generational dancers from 4 regencies and 1 city in Yogyakarta Special Region. Jogja Joged 2024 also involves artists from abroad, including Ecuador and Indonesia.
