Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. was elected as Rector of ISI Yogyakarta for the period 2024 - 2028 after obtaining the most votes in the Closed Senate Meeting of ISI Yogyakarta with the agenda of Rector Election of ISI Yogyakarta held Monday, March 18, 2024, in Meeting Room 1, Rectorate of ISI Yogyakarta. Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. managed to get the most votes compared to Dr. Mikke Susanto, M.A. and Prof. Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, M.Si. as other rector candidates. The election of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta for the period 2024-2028 was attended by members of the ISI Yogyakarta Senate and representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology consisting of Ambar Musyarifah, S.Psi. M.Ak. (Head of Human Resources Bureau), Nana Ade Suryani, S.Psi. (Junior Expert Apparatus Human Resources Assessor) and Adi Sulistyo, SH, MH (Junior Expert Human Resources Analyst).
According to Prof. Dr. I Wayan Dana, SST., M.Hum. as Chairman of the Rector Election Committee of ISI Yogyakarta, this closed senate session was attended by 26 senate members and representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to convey the Minister's vote.
The Closed Senate Session in the context of the election of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta for the period 2024 - 2028, began with remarks from Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. as Rector and Chair of the ISI Yogyakarta Senate, followed by remarks from representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology delivered by Musyarifah, S.Psi. M.Ak., the election of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta and the vote count.
In his remarks, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for providing support and participating in the election of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta. The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta also expressed his gratitude to the committee for the election of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta for the period 2024 - 2028 who had worked well so that the stages of the election of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta had run according to plan. On this occasion, Ambar Musyarifah, S.Psi. M.Ak. as a representative of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology conveyed a message from the Minister that whoever will lead ISI Yogyakarta, it is hoped that all lecturers and education staff will support the elected rector so that ISI Yogyakarta can continue to develop and succeed in heading universities with Public Service Agency status.
