Film and Television Production and Music Presentation Study Programs Collaborate with PT. Kairos Multi Jaya

On December 18, 2023, the Film and Television Production Study Program of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (PFT FSMR) and the Music Presentation Study Program of the Faculty of Performing Arts (FSP Music Presentation) entered a new chapter in developing relationships between education and industry by making an official visit to PT Kairos Multi Jaya. During this visit, the Film and Television Production Study Program represented by Pandan P. Purwacandra M.Kom, I Wayan Nain Febri, M.Sn, and Zahrina Zatadini, S.Sn., M.A. was received by Mr. Johannes Martin Wijaya, Mr. Niki and Mrs. Inggrid from PT. Kairos Multi Jaya.

In addition to the cooperation between PFT FSRM Study Program and Music Presentation Study Program FSP in the form of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) - Cooperation Agreement (PKS) which will be used together specifically for both Study Programs in the two Faculties, also submitted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ISI Indonesia Yogyakarta and PT. Kairos Multi Jaya as a form of cooperative relationship in bringing the world of education and industry closer together more broadly in both major institutions. This step reflects the determination to support student development through practical experience that is relevant to the world of work.

The good relationship between the two institutions is actually not new, since since 2022 PT Kairos Multi Jaya has played an active role in JogJac (Jogja Jazz Camp) activities organized by the FSP Music Presentation Study Program. So this collaboration needs to be carried out and expanded in order to provide wider benefits for both parties.

This collaboration is not only limited to a signature on paper, but also marks a joint commitment to initiate various collaborative programs, such as workshops and joint projects, which will involve students and industry practitioners. By embracing innovation and practical expertise, the Film and Television Production (PFT) Program hopes to equip students with knowledge and skills that match the needs of the recorded media industry. Through this partnership, FSMR's PFT Program and FSP's Music Presentation Program want to have a positive impact on the world of education and industry, creating graduates who not only have academic understanding but are also able to face challenges in the world of work.

In the future, the Film and Television Production Study Program of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts hopes to build more similar partnerships, open doors to new opportunities, and strengthen the position of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts as an educational institution that is responsive to the dynamics of the industry and Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta globally. With a high spirit of collaboration, the Film and Television Production Study Program (PFT) is confident that this collaboration will provide positive benefits for the development of creativity and professionalism in the field of recorded media arts in particular, and other creative arts.
