In order to build cooperation with ISI Yogyakarta, one of the lecturers of Ochanomizu University, Japan, Minako Nakamura visited ISI Yogyakarta on September 13, 2023. When visiting ISI Yogyakarta, Minako Nakamura was accompanied by a former participant of the Indonesian Darmasiswa program who currently lives in Bali, Kaoru Nakaya. The visit was received by Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. (Acting Daily Rector of ISI Yogyakarta), Dra. Esti Hapsari Saptiasi (Head of BAAKPSI ISI Yogyakarta), Dr. I Nyoman Cau Arsana, M.Sn. (Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta) and Dr. Rina Martiara, M.Sn. (Head of Dance Department FSP ISI Yogyakarta).
ISI Yogyakarta has partnered with many international universities and is always open to collaborating with new partners such as Ochanomizu University, Japan, as stated by Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. in his speech when receiving a visit from one of the Ochanomizu University lecturers. Furthermore, he conveyed that possible cooperation between the two universities include the exchange of teaching staff, student exchange and the organization of joint performances.
According to Minako Nakamura, Ochanomizu University hopes to establish cooperation with ISI Yogyakarta and cooperation can begin by organizing student exchanges. Ochanomizu University students can study for one year at ISI Yogyakarta and vice versa. On this occasion Minako Nakamura and Kaoru Nakaya also had the opportunity to witness lecture activities in the Department of dance FSP ISI Yogyakarta.
