ISI Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Cultural Office and Sleman City Mall and supported by other partners held Reflection of Art (ROA), at the Shinta Atrium, Sleman City Mall, on August 27, 2022. ROA is a fashion show featuring works from students of the D4 Fashion Design Kriya Batik Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta. This fashion show was held as one of the activities to enliven the 38th anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta.
The D4 Fashion Design Kriya Batik Study Program, which was previously named D3 Batik and Fashion, always holds a fashion show every year. The difference this year is that the D4 Fashion Design Kriya Batik Study Program is trying to collaborate with Sleman City Mall as an industrial partner to hold a fashion show. This collaboration with the industrial world is in line with the Merdeka Learning Campus Program launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
ROA not only displays student work, but is also a learning tool for students to organize fashion shows. With this activity, students will learn from producing fashion products to publicizing the work produced through fashion shows. Organizing a fashion show will provide opportunities for the public to find out the fashion work produced by students.
This fashion show is open to the public while still observing health protocols. Open gate for this fashion show will start at 14.30 WIB. For people who want to see the fashion works of the students of D4 Fashion Design Kriya Batik Study Program can visit Shinta Atrium, Sleman City Mall.
