The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum., opened an exhibition and screening of recorded media art entitled "New Beginnings For The Future" June 20, 2022, at 15.00 WIB, located in the Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta. the opening of the exhibition and screening was attended by the Head of ISI Yogyakarta, the Head of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta, the Chairman of the Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta, the Founder of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta, Partners of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta and the academic community of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta.
The exhibition and presentation titled "New Beginnings For The Future" is part of the agenda to commemorate the 38th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta. This exhibition and presentation of recorded media art will be held from June 20 to 27, 2022 using a hybrid system combining online and offline. The offline exhibition will be held at the Pandeng Gallery of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta and the online exhibition can be accessed through www.galeripandeng.isi.ac.id and www.galeripandeng.isi.ac.id.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition and screening began with remarks from the chairman of the 38th Anniversary committee of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta, remarks from the curator of the exhibition and screening, remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta, remarks from senior photographer Oscar Rahmatullah and ended with remarks from the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta while opening the exhibition and screening. In his remarks, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. said that the theme taken in this exhibition was a derivative of ISI Yogyakarta's 38th Anniversary theme "Art Excellence for Life Recovery". The theme of the exhibition and the anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta is very relevant to the condition of the people who are starting to try to recover their lives after the Covid-19 pandemic.
This exhibition and screening of recorded media art is the result of collaboration between the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta with The International Federation of Photographic Arts and Rangkai as an online film platform that presents a national digital film collection in Indonesia. This collaboration allows the exhibition to be held in a hybrid manner which provides greater opportunities for the public to access exhibitions and screenings that are held.
