The course "Exhibition Management Review 1" of the Bachelor of Arts Management Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts, ISI Yogyakarta gave birth to a spirit collective as a response to the course assignment. This collective consists of students from three departments at the Faculty of Fine Arts, ISI Yogyakarta so that it successfully organizes an exhibition with the theme "insecare".
The increasing intensity of concern about insecurity is the background of the exhibition. Therefore, this exhibition is a medium for the expression of that insecurity. The exhibition also serves as a turning point against insecurity. Hence the title "insecare" (a combination of "insecure" and "care").
Together with national artists Dedy Sufriadi, Lutse Morin, and Syam Terrajana, 17 artists from the open selection responded to the theme of the exhibition held at Sultan Agung Room, 2nd floor, Museum Benteng Vredeburg Yogyakarta. The exhibition will be held from May 19 to 21, 2022. The opening of the exhibition will be held on May 19, 2022, at 10.00 WIB and opened by Tambak Sihno Purwanto, S.Pd., M.A. (lecturer of S-1 Art Management Study Program).
The exhibition also held an art market as a medium for buying and selling paintings. There will also be a "live mural" on the first day of the exhibition and an art talk on the second day. The exhibition will end with a performance art event on May 22, 2022, featuring a number of music groups. It will be held on the rigging stage at Taman Budaya Yogyakarta.
Even though the pandemic has not completely disappeared, this activity is expected to be able to cure the longing for offline exhibitions. Any form of appreciation is certainly very valuable and creates a new atmosphere in organizing the next exhibition. Without art exhibitions, it feels like life is meaningless. So, don't forget to watch, so that our insecurities will grow properly.
