The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. opened an exhibition and virtual broadcast entitled "Jalan Menuju Media Kreatif 13. The opening of the exhibition and virtual viewing was held on October 28, 2021, at 15.00 WIB and took place in the Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts and the leadership, the Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts, the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta, the founders of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta and industry partners of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta.
A virtual exhibition and screening of recorded media art "The Road to Creative Media 13" was held at FIAP Exhibition Center (FEC), Pandeng Gallery, FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta virtually through https://galeripandeng.isi.ac.id/ on October 28 to November 12, 2021. JMMK #13 is a virtual art exhibition and show that is officially international standard because it has been certified by Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP).
The selection of the implementation time in October also coincides with the 27th anniversary of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta in accordance with the start of operations at FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta. This virtual exhibition and broadcast features photography, television programs, video-art, documentary films, story films, animated films, and game works of students and lecturers in the FSMR environment, ISI Yogyakarta as well as guest works that every year always participate from various art colleges with recording media study programs that are members of the BKS-PTSI (Indonesian Art College Art Coordinating Board), professional colleagues of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, and guest participants from similar universities abroad who collaborate with FSMR ISI Yogyakarta such as CIT Canberra, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia, VCA - University of Melbourne, Eszterhazy Karoly University Hungary, RMIT Australia, KMITL Thailand, and also University of Arts Targu Mures Romania.
In this 13th year of 2021, there were a total of 65 works from photography, film and television, as well as animated films and game either from academic communityica FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta as well as academic colleagues at home and abroad. The diversity of the works displayed is a representation of the spirit of the times that emerged and was triggered by experiences during this pandemic with its various dialectics. The Dean of FSMR, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., said that the JMMK #13 activity which was held to coincide with the 27th anniversary of the birth of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta was held during a pandemic, so it demanded many 'new' things to remain productive and creative in the midst of various limitations.
"This year, JMMK maximizes the use of the FEC web, Pandeng Gallery and also android-based applications as media for the representation of works. This is a manifestation of the spirit of all civitas academica FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta to share information and facilitate stakeholder in accessing and enjoying the works presented in the exhibition and virtual viewing." Thus added the Dean of FSRM, ISI Yogyakarta. The android application can be downloaded via Google Playstore with the keyword JMMK.
It is hoped that this exhibition and screening can strengthen record media education institutions in implementing the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. In addition, it is also hoped that there will be closer cooperation and connections with the entire FSMR family, ISI Yogyakarta and the other institutions. stakeholder in developing the work and science of recording media art. Hopefully, this exhibition will receive positive appreciation for the sake of achieving noble ideals as part of efforts to explore the nation's identity through art.
