The Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Siti Azizah, visited ISI Yogyakarta on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. During this visit, the Deputy for Entrepreneurship was accompanied by the Assistant Deputy for Information Technology Development and Business Incubation and other group members. This visit was carried out in the context of a coordination meeting for the implementation of cooperation between the two institutions. This coordination meeting was held as a follow-up to the signing of the MoU between the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia and ISI Yogyakarta which was carried out on September 6, 2021.
The coordination meeting began with remarks from the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. In his remarks, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia for the rapid response to discuss the implementation of cooperation from the MoU that had been signed. The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta also said that ISI Yogyakarta in the teaching and learning process in addition to providing core competencies in the arts also equipped students with an entrepreneurial spirit. Through the Center for Career Development and Entrepreneurship ISI Yogyakarta always organizes soft skills and entrepreneurship training every year. The Center for Career Development and Entrepreneurship ISI Yogyakarta also has an Entrepreneurial Student Program. Furthermore, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta said that with the potential of ISI Yogyakarta and students as well as the support provided by the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, it is expected to be able to build ecosystems and business incubators in the arts.
The next event was followed by remarks from the Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ms. Siti Azizah. In her remarks, the Deputy for Entrepreneurship said that the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia has more attention to young entrepreneurs and creative industries including in the arts such as fine arts, design, film, animation and performing arts. ISI Yogyakarta and the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia can collaborate to guide students who have the spirit to become young entrepreneurs in the creative industry. The Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia can provide support in the form of consultation, financing, mentoring and other needs needed by ISI Yogyakarta to realize ISI Yogyakarta students who are entrepreneurial. At this meeting, the ISI Yogyakarta Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center also presented various activities organized and the Student Entrepreneurship Program.
From this coordination meeting, an important conclusion obtained is that the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia is willing to provide support to ISI Yogyakarta to improve the quality of the Student Entrepreneurship Program and generate student interest in becoming young entrepreneurs. The meeting was ended by giving souvenirs from ISI Yogyakarta to the Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia and a group photo.
