One of the lecturers, Faculty of Recording Media Arts ISI Yogyakarta, Risman Marah, participated in a photography exhibition held at Sonobudoyo Museum, Yogyakarta. The Wayang Photo Exhibition is one of the activities in the series of Rumaket "Rumah Masyarakat Ketemu" organized by the Sonobudoyo Museum, the Regional Government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province and the Yogyakarta City Cultural Office from 25 to 27 September 2021. The implementation of Rumaket is an effort to preserve batik and wayang as one of the cultural heritages. Rumaket also organized workshops, talk shows and dance performances with hologram technology combined with a fashion show that raised the theme of the philosophy of Sidomukti batik.
This wayang photo exhibition showcases various wayang photos from the collaboration of veteran photographers and young puppeteers from Yogyakarta. The veteran photographers include Johny Indarta, Risman Marah and Fauzi Helmy Faizal. The puppeteers involved in the photo creation process include Noor Singgih, Bayu Aji Nugraha and Fani Rickyansyah.
The opening of Rumaket was held on Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2021, marked by cutting buntal by Deputy Mayor of Yogyakarta Heroe Poerwadi and Director of Cultural Development and Utilization, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Restu Gunawan. Present at the event were the Head of the Yogyakarta City Cultural Office / Kundha Kabudayan and his staff, artists and parties related to the implementation of rumaket activities. The closing of the Rumaket series of activities will be held on the evening of September 27, 2021.
