Thursday, September 9, 2021 Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta held a ceremonial release of 2021 Indonesian Student Mobility Award participants. The release ceremony was held in the VIP Meeting Room, ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate. The release ceremony was attended by representatives of the International Affairs Unit, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, the Vice Rector I of ISI Yogyakarta and participating students. Idonesian International Student Mobility Awards is an Indonesian Government scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for mobility programs at leading Universities abroad. Undergraduate students can spend a semester at an overseas partner university to study, experience the host country's culture and undertake practical tasks to hone their skills. This scholarship scheme is centrally managed by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and is open to undergraduate students from all Indonesian universities under the DGHE.
In 2021, three ISI Yogyakarta students succeeded in obtaining International Student Mobility Awards from the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The three students are Naja Izzah Kurniawan from the Pure Art Study Program, Lemuel Rapha Wardoyo from the Music Creation Study Program and Ghita Shakila Sanusi from the Interior Design Study Program. Naja Izzah Kurniawan will study for one semester at the University of Leed (UK), Lemuel Rapha Wardoyo will study at Newcastle University (UK) and Ghita Shakila Sanusi will experience the learning climate at Hochschule Hannover (Germany) for one semester.
The release ceremony began with an introduction from the Head of the International Affairs Unit of ISI Yogyakarta, Silvia Purba, M.Sn., who said that the three students succeeded in eliminating thousands of competitors. The event then continued with remarks from the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta represented the leadership of ISI Yogyakarta to congratulate the students who succeeded in obtaining the scholarship. International Student Mobility Awards and advised students to be enthusiastic in following the learning process and maintaining the good name of ISI Yogyakarta. On this occasion, Assistant Rector I of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si. said that students should also maintain their health while abroad and make the most of the opportunity to study abroad. The release ceremony was closed with the delivery of messages from participants International Student Mobility Awards represented by Lemuel Rapha Wardoyo. The student representative expressed his gratitude for the guidance in the selection process and asked for prayers to the leadership of ISI Yogyakarta so that it would always be facilitated and always healthy when following the study abroad process. Hopefully the recipient students International Student Mobility Awards can motivate ISI Yogyakarta students to join this program next year.
