Thursday, September 9, 2021, Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta in collaboration with Djarum Foundation and Kompas.id held a Digital Literacy Webinar entitled "Information Flood & Challenges in Facing HOAX/Fake News". This webinar starts at 14.00 to 16.00 WIB. The Digital Literacy Webinar was attended by ISI Yogyakarta Leaders, 75 lecturers who received subcriptions, Darling Squad at ISI Yogyakarta, Kompas.id Leaders and Djarum Foundation Management.
Today information can be produced and distributed quickly. The existence of information and communication technology products allows people to produce information and distribute information quickly. This condition encourages a flood of information. The problem that arises is that people must be more selective in choosing information. The flood of information is a challenge for the community in dealing with hoaxes or fake news. To provide competence on how to deal with hoaxes and fake news then this Digital Literacy Webinar was held for lecturers at ISI Yogyakarta. This webinar was held as a form of Djarum Foundation's concern to realize Quality Journalism with Kompas.id in 17 universities from Sabang to Merauke. ISI Yogyakarta is one of the 17 universities.
This webinar event consists of opening and delivery of material by various speakers. The opening ceremony consisted of remarks delivered by Mrs. Mutiara Diah Asmara (Djarum Foundation Communication Director), Mr. Sutta Dharmasaputra (Editor-in-Chief of Kompas Daily - Kompas.id) and ended with remarks from Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. (Rector of ISI Yogyakarta). The webinar material will be delivered by Mr. Dikdik (Digital Marketing Manager of Kompas.id), Sister Tania Arbi (Djarum Foundation), Mr. Haryo Damardono (Deputy Managing Editor of Kompas id), Sister Septa Inigopatria (Manager of Kompas.id) and Mr. Sutta Dharmasaputra (Deputy Managing Editor of Kompas.id). Product Development Kompas id) and Sister Ratna (Kompas id Data Sciences Manager). Along with the implementation of the Digital Literacy webinar, there was also a symbolic handover to 125 Kompas.id subscribers from the Director of the Djarum Foundation to the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum.
