Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. together with PSA President 2021-2023, J.R. Schnelzer, MS, FPSA, MPSA2, EFIAP opened an international print exhibition entitled "Borderless" or 'No Bantas" on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 10.00 WIB at the R.J Katamsi Gallery of ISI Yogyakarta. The opening of the exhibition was carried out with the application of strict health protocols and limited invitations. The opening of the exhibition was attended by faculty and leaders of FMSR ISI Yogyakarta and PSA members from around the world. The opening of the exhibition was broadcast online and could be watched in various countries.
The opening at the exhibition venue will be attended by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., Vice Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn. , Head of Photography Department Oscar Samaratungga, SE, M.Sn and limited invitations from FMSR ISI Yogyakarta. From PSA will be present PSA International Relationships Vice President who is also the Director of PSA International Relationships. Art Photography of Indonesia, Agatha Anne Bunanta, S.E. MBA.
The exhibition titled "Borderless" or "Limitless" is the result of collaboration Photographic Society of America Worldwide (PSA), Art Photography of Indonesia (PSA club member) and Department of Photography Faculty of Recording Media Arts Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. Photographic Society of America Worldwide (PSA) is a worldwide organization that connects members located in more than 80 countries. PSA also connects with other photography organizations and communities around the world. PSA has always endeavored to promote the art of photography and encourage the younger generation to express their creativity through the camera lens. This international print exhibition is expected to provide information, education, motivation, visual communication from various cultures and styles of creativity to broaden the horizons of photography and art for the viewer.
Exhibition "Borderless" representing all types and genres of photography as artistic expression. The 243 photos on display consist of 188 photos from 188 PSA members (66 of whom are from Indonesia) in 60 countries, and 55 photos from 55 photographers - lecturers, students, and colleagues/campus partners - from ISI Yogyakarta. The photographs featured in this print exhibition are the curatorial result of Agatha Anne Bunanta, S.E., MBA, HonCNPS, Hon SSS, FPSA, GMPSA, GPSA, EFIAP/p, ARPS, GPU-Cr4, GPU-VIP3, E.FPSI, A.FPSI*** (International Relationships Vice President of PSA Worldwide and PSA Representative in Indonesia and Director of Art Photography of Indonesia) and Oscar Samaratungga, S.E., M.Sn. (Department of Photography, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta)
The international print exhibition will be held until September 10, 2021 and is located at the R.J. Katamsi Gallery of ISI Yogyakarta. The exhibition time follows the working hours of Galeri R.J. Katamsi ISI Yogyakarta from 09.00 - 16.00 WIB every day. This print exhibition is open to the general public and the public can enjoy the photos displayed in the exhibition free of charge.
