Professional Branding Cosultant Becomes a Teaching Practitioner of Information Graphics Course at DKV ISI Yogyakarta

Arief Budiman, S.Sn. a professional in the field of branding cosultant and is the CEO of Petak Umpet Creativerse, who has shared his knowledge related to information graphic design, especially in the design of the form of pictogramThis activity is part of the Visual Communication Design Program (DKV), Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, which offers instructional materials, place markers, diagrams, maps, Curriculum Vitae (CV), and infographics. This activity is part of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia 2024.

This learning has been carried out for four meetings with a total duration of 12 learning hours. Starting Monday to Thursday, September 17-19, and 23, 2024 at 10:00 am - finished. The purpose of the learning process of this practitioner is to introduce students to DKV theory for the needs of CV information that is well structured, easy to read and understand through various visual and verbal components contained therein.

A well-designed CV can be a tool to build personal branding and increase confidence for the CV owner, because it can be one of the gateways to enter the world of work, and can be used as a medium to show identity / self-reflection to the audience at a certain event. Visuals also play an important role in the appearance of a CV.

Armed with extensive experience in the industry, Arief Budiman, S.Sn. can guide students professionally, especially in the use of icons, indexes, symbols, diagrams, and other infographics. The use of clear fonts, good and coherent composition or layout, and the right color selection, so that self-branding through information graphics can be conveyed well and certainly has more appeal.
