ISI Yogyakarta delegation led by the Rector, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. visited the Attaché of Education and Culture (Atdikbud) Seoul, South Korea on November 4, 2024. The ISI Yogyakarta delegation was received directly by Atdikbud Seul, Amaliah Fitriah, Ph.D. ISI Yogyakarta's visit to Atdikud Seoul to ask for direction as well as discuss potential cooperation that might be carried out with universities in South Korea.
South Korea is a country that has shown the world that culture and art can be used as a tool to bring prosperity to society, said Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. as Rector of ISI Yogyakarta. South Korea is able to disseminate K-Pop to various parts of the world and ISI Yogyakarta should learn how to process the potential of Indonesian arts and culture for the welfare of the community.
On this occasion Atdikbud Seul, Amaliah Fitriah, Ph.D. said that South Korea has art universities with international reputation and ISI Yogyakarta needs to collaborate with these universities. The collaboration will improve the quality of research, the quality of work produced by ISI Yogyakarta academics and the ranking of ISI Yogyakarta.
The visit to South Korea this time, in addition to visiting Atdikbud Seoul also visited Sungkyun Kwan University and Seoul National University. With this visit, it is expected to further add world-class partners for ISI Yogyakarta.
