One of the visions and missions of the Dance Study Program is as a forum and creator of generations who Nguri-uri (preserve) culture. So working with various related agencies to realize the vision and mission has long been done. This time the Dance Study Program again collaborated with one of the supporting agencies for Culture in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, namely the DIY Provincial Cultural Office. Which is a driving force and preservation institution for various cultural potentials in DIY. Both tangible (physical) and intangible cultures.
Dance Study Program students as one of the next generation of cultural preservationists are encouraged to participate in various forms of collaborative activities carried out. The Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program provides flexibility for the Dance Study Program to involve students in various forms of collaborative programs between the Dance Department and partners and DUDI. The implementation of Merdeka Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) of the Dance Study Program of FSP ISI Yogyakarta is expressed in the form of collaboration with partners and DUDI. This is intended to expand connections to provide broad experience and insight for Dance Department students.
One form of this collaboration, the Dance Study Program did it again through cooperation with the DIY Provincial Culture Office. Through a meeting held on July 17, 2024 at the Grand Rohan Hotel Yogyakarta in the event of Reorganization of MBKM Implementation and Potential Cooperation with MItra and DUDI Dance Study Program, Dance Study Program together with the DIY Provincial Culture Office represented by Mrs. Dian Laksmi Pratiwi, S.S., M.A. as Head of the DIY Provincial Culture Office signed an IA (Implementation Arrangement) with number 470 / JTFSP / VII / 2024.
The content of the IA is the cooperation that will be carried out between the two parties in the future. The purpose of this activity is to increase cooperation and improve the quality of graduates in the world of work through the Implementation of MBKM.
Cooperation programs that were then offered to the Dance Study Program by the Yogyakarta Provincial Cultural Office included the Cultural Village coaching and training program, performance and training programs at the Sonobudoyo museum, and research on the revitalization program by Taman Budaya Yogyakarta.
