ISI Yogyakarta held a tirakatan night in commemoration of the 8th Lustrum or 40th Anniversary on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Lobby Rectorate of ISI Yogyakarta at 18.30 WIB until completion. This tirakatan night was attended by the Rector, Assistant Rector, Deans, Assistant Deans, Leaders in the ISI Yogyakarta Lingungan, education staff and ISI Yogyakarta students. The main agenda of this tirakatan night is as a means of reflection and prayer so that ISI Yogyakarta is able to become the leading art college in Indonesia and the World. Hopefully ISI Yogyakarta will be able to maintain and improve the achievements that have been obtained.
As a form of gratitude, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. cut tumpeng and handed it over to the Chairman of the 8th Lustrum ISI Yogyakarta Dindin Heryadi, M.Sn. The tumpeng cutting ceremony was followed by a meal with all participants of the tirakatan night.
Along with the tirakatan night event, macapat was also held. Macapat is an activity of reading tembang or Javanese poetry. This activity was organized by ISI Yogyakarta as a form of art college efforts to continue to preserve Javanese culture.
