The Faculty of Fine Arts (FSR) ISI Yogyakarta will hold an Art Academic Forum on August 20 to 21, 2023, at the Alana Hotel Yogyakarta. The Art Academic Forum was attended by participants from domestic and foreign universities such as Silpakorn University, Uitm Malaysia, ISI Surakarta, Telkom Bandung, IKJ, ISI Denpasar, UNY, ISI Yogyakarta. The forum was organized to build and strengthen cooperation between universities, practitioners and art professionals on the continent, to play a more real role in preserving and maintaining local art identity.
The development of the art world with all its accompanying aspects has become increasingly unstoppable. The existence of art in a broad aspect has touched various lines of life in the world community. Crashing through existing barriers and regulations. Developing not only in the local area, but has expanded to reach an unlimited range, between countries and even continents. It no longer thinks of clear boundaries, but has become fluid, merging into a unity with the various components that exist in it. Due to the development and advancement of the times and technology, art is no longer ubsurd, translated as it is, but has increasingly become complex, having new values that are deemed necessary to be responded to from various perspectives.
This academic forum invites educators, artists, researchers from various scientific disciplines, especially in the fields of fine arts, crafts, multimedia, and design to directly engage and join in scientific discussions and other activities. Through conferences, collaboration of knowledge and experience through workshops, exhibitions in order to increase insight and understanding of the emergence of various genres of art.
From the involvement of various disciplines and art universities, it is hoped that it will give birth to multiple interpretations of the phenomena that are born today, from which it is hoped that an interesting dialog will occur which ultimately leads to different conclusions, but this will provide added value and new knowledge. The final conclusion will be an important contribution in bridging differences and providing new insights in seeing the development of art today.
