ISI Yogyakarta became one of the universities that successfully obtained the UNS Jawametrik Award. This award was received by the Vice Rector III of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. M Kholid Arif Rozaq, S.Hut., M.M. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Pendhapa R.Ng. Yasadipura PUI Javanology UNS.
The UNS Jawametrik award is given to institutions that are consistent in developing and preserving Javanese culture. UNS Jawametrik is held as a ranking model for domestic and foreign institutions that are consistent in developing and preserving Javanese culture based on information and communication technology. Through this ranking, information will be obtained about various institutions around the world that develop their concern for Javanese culture. This event is expected to motivate institutions at home and abroad to continue to strive to develop and preserve Javanese culture so that Javanese culture will continue to be sustainable.
ISI Yogyakarta, which has several departments that focus on the development and preservation of Javanese culture such as Karawitan, pedalangan, dance and ethnomusicology departments, is very happy for this award. Hopefully this award will continue to motivate ISI Yogyakarta to develop and preserve Javanese culture.
