ISI Yogyakarta is again one of the organizers of the Merdeka Student Exchange Program in 2023. The Merdeka Student Exchange Program is a domestic student exchange program that provides opportunities for students to study one semester at another university. This independent student exchange activity will get credit recognition up to 20 credits. By participating in this student exchange program, students not only gain knowledge but also gain artistic and cultural experience from the destination university area.
In 2022, ISI Yogyakarta also hosted the Merdeka Student Exchange Program. Students from various islands in Indonesia, study in various art study programs at ISI Yogyakarta. Program participants are also given art and cultural experiences by visiting the Yogyakarta Palace, Museums in Yogyakarta, attending art and cultural workshops and holding performances and exhibitions at the end of the program. With these various activities, participants are expected to gain an understanding of the diversity of ethnicity, culture, art and language.
In 2023, ISI Yogyakarta received a quota of 50 students to join the Merdeka Student Exchange Program. By joining this program at ISI Yogyakarta, students will gain experience in the arts and culture in Yogyakarta.
