Currently, Museum Benteng Vredeburg Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Bachelor of Art Management Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta is holding a contemporary exhibition themed on the March 1 General Attack as a form of interaction between history and art. The exhibition titled "Daulat dan Ikhitar" seeks to respond to the events of the March 1 General Strike in the form of art.
The events of the March 1, 1949 General Strike need to be remembered by all Indonesian people. The latest generation who did not experience this event directly is obliged to remember and re-interpret this historical event as a form of love for the Indonesian homeland. Seeing the importance of the March 1 General Strike as a means of learning and instilling nationalism, Museum Benteng Vredeburg Yogyakarta and the Art Management Program, Faculty of Fine Arts ISI Yogyakarta try to introduce history through different ways, namely contemporary art exhibitions.
