Art Management Study Program Organizes a Cultural Public Lecture with the theme The Price of a Myth

The Art Management Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Indonesian Museum Association (AMI), Paramita Jaya, Dicti Art Lab and Buku Seni Rupa organized a Cultural Public Lecture "The Price of a Myth: The Values of Cultural Art Objects as Collectibles". The lecture will be held online on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 19.00 to 20.30 WIB. The cultural public lecture titled "The Price of a Myth" will present guest speaker Dr. Mikke Susanto, M.A. (Teaching Staff of ISI Yogyakarta and author of the book "Why is Painting Expensive?") and will be guided by two moderators Lily Elserisa (Art Worker) and Ardi Haryadi (Pamong Budaya, DKI Jakarta Provincial Cultural Office).

People who want to join this cultural lecture can join through the Zoom Link with Meeting ID: 867 2571 3242 and Passcode: hargamitos. The public can also watch this cultural lecture through Paramita Jaya's Youtube channel.

This cultural lecture tries to dissect the extent to which the collection of art/cultural objects collected and displayed in a museum can be valued. What values can be extracted from an object that is worshiped by those who have, so that sometimes there is theft and conflict between nations.
.
So don't be surprised, it is in the realm of "values" that the maelstrom of problems begins. Perhaps you cultural appreciators or owners of cultural/art assets should know what values are contained there. Don't you just enjoy the myths that live on and on, without knowing the reality? Welcome to join and watch the public cultural lecture titled "The Price of a Myth".
