FSR ISI Yogyakarta Organizes a Fine Art Exhibition titled The Awakening of Fine Art in the New Normal Era

The Faculty of Fine Arts (FSR) ISI Yogyakarta organized an art exhibition entitled "The Awakening of Fine Arts in the New Normal Era". This exhibition was held from June 14 to 21, 2021 with the concept of blanded The show combines the concept of offline and online casts. Offline casts are held in three places, namely the RJ Katamsi Gallery, the Fadar Sidik Gallery and the Study Program in the FSR ISI Yogyakarta environment. The cast at the RJ Katamsi Gallery displays selected collections from the Study Program, for the cast at the Fajar Sidik Gallery displays the cast of the results of the drawing competition held in the framework of the 37th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta and the exhibition held at the Study Program displays the work of lecturers, FSR ISI Yogyakarta students. For online or virtual casts can be accessed through https://pameranfsr.isi.ac.id/. The exhibition is open to the general public and to access it the public is asked to maintain health protocols.

The title of the show "The Awakening of Fine Arts in the New Normal Era" is taken from the theme of the 37th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta. This theme was taken as a form of ISI Yogyakarta's contribution to society by presenting a new format in artistic activities, namely online or offline exhibitions that pay attention to health protocols. The pandemic is not a barrier to artistic activities but instead encourages innovation in the format of artistic activities.

The performance entitled "The Awakening of Fine Arts in the New Normal Era" was held in order to enliven the 37th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta. The opening of the cast was held on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 10.00 WIB and took place at the RJ Katamsi Gallery ISI Yogyakarta. The opening of the cast began with singing the song "Indonesia Raya" and continued with remarks from the Exhibition Coordinator from the Faculty of Fine Arts Drs. Anusapati, M.F.A. who gave a brief report on the organization of exhibitions and competitions in the framework of the Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta. The next event was a speech from the Chairman of the 37th Anniversary Committee of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Sarjiwo, M.Pd. who provided information about the activities held in the framework of the 37th Anniversary of ISI Yogyakarta. The next speech was delivered by the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Timbul Raharjo. After remarks from the Dean of FSR ISI Yogyakarta, the event continued with the presentation of awards to the winners of the article writing competition and drawing competition. The ceremonial opening of this cast was closed with remarks from the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum and the beating of the gong as a sign of the opening of this fine arts cast. In his remarks, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta said that the pandemic does not only limit the space for artists to move but the momentum for the revival of art. Denny JA's collection painting titled "A Portrait of Denny JA: 40 Years in the World of Ideas" by Galam Zulkifli which sold for 1 billion in an auction at opensea is one proof of the revival of art.

The event continued by entering the RJ Katamsi Gallery to see various works exhibited by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta and followed by invited guests.
