The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) on Friday, November 15, 2019, at the Main Courtroom of Building D Kemdikbud officially launched the 2020 PTN New Student Admission System. The launch was conducted by the Director General of Learning and Student Affairs (Director General of Belmawa), Prof. Dr. Ismunandar, who represented the Minister of Education and Culture. Also accompanying the Director General of Belmawa were Prof. Dr. Ravik Karsidi, MS (Chairman of LTMPT), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, MT, SE, Ak, CMA. (Vice Chairman I), Prof. Dr. Sutrisna Wibawa, MPd. (Vice Chairman II), and Prof. Dr. Syafsir Akhlus, M.Sc. (MRPTNl Management).
PTN New Student Admission in 2020 is carried out through three channels, namely (I) National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN) with a minimum quota of 20% of PTN capacity; (2) Joint Selection for State Universities (SBMPTN) with a minimum quota of 40%; and (3) Independent Selection with a maximum of 30%.
Some new things related to the implementation of the 2020 SNMPTN include the ranking of students on the School and Student Database (PDSS) carried out by schools. Then the number of students included in the ranking is in accordance with the provisions of the school accreditation quota, namely, schools with A accreditation scores of 40%, B accreditation of 25% and schools with C accreditation and others are 5% which are the best students in their schools.
Then for UTBK 2020 the implementation time lasts for one week with 14 sessions (two sessions each day) and is held at 74 UTBK PTN Centers. UTBK participants are only allowed to take one test according to the test group they are participating in (Saintck, Soshum or Mixed). UTBK 2020 results are only valid for new student admissions in 2020 and the results will be given to participants individually. UTBK 2020 results can also be used by PTN in the implementation of new student admissions for the 2020 Independent Selection pathway.
What is important to know by prospective participants of SNMPTN, UTBK, and SBMPTN 2020 is the implementation of a policy of Single Sign On (SSO) which is the initial stage of SNMPTN, UTBK and SBMPTN 2020 registration where each participant is required to have an LTMPT account by registering an account through Iaman https://portal.ltmpt.ac.id. The time frame for LTMPT account registration is divided into two, namely for PDSS and SNMPTN held from December 02, 2019 to January 07, 2020 and LTMPT account registration for UTBK and SBMPTN held from February 07-April 05, 2020.
Students, schools or the public are expected to pay careful attention to the time frame for the implementation of SNMPTN, UTBK and SBMPTN 2020. The time frame for SNMPTN is, LTMPT Account Registration December 02, 2019 - January 07, 2020; PDSS filling and student ranking by schools January 13 - February 06, 2020; SNMPTN Registration February 11-25, 2020 and SNMPTN Announcement April 04, 2020.
The implementation time of UTBK 2020 is, LTMPT Account Registration 07 February - 05 April 2020; UTBK Registration 30 March - 11 April 2020; UTBK Implementation 20 - 26 April 2020; and UTBK result announcement is scheduled on 12 May 2020. The 2020 SBMPTN time frame is SBMPTN Registration 02-13 June 2020 and SBMPTN Result Announcement on June 30, 2020.
