Yogyakarta, April 28, 2026 – Proud achievements have once again been attained by students of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta at the national level. Four students from ISI Yogyakarta have been selected as Google Student Ambassadors (GSA) 2026, a program that brings together students from various universities across Indonesia to become drivers of technology literacy, digital innovation, and the utilization of artificial intelligence within the campus environment.
The four students are Muflichun Cahyo Saputra from the S-1 Film and Television Study Program, Faculty of Creative Media; Carlos Septiawan from the S-1 Visual Communication Design Study Program, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design; Fiora Alicia from the S-1 Theater Study Program, Faculty of Performance Arts; and Keyzia Faninda Putri from the D-4 Film and Television Production Study Program, Faculty of Creative Media.
Of the four students, two of them, namely Muflichun Cahyo Saputra and Carlos Septiawan, had the opportunity to attend the Google Student Ambassador 2026 inauguration event in person in Jakarta. The inauguration event was held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at MGP Space SCBD Park, and was followed by a visit to the Google Indonesia office in South Jakarta.
Through these activities, participants not only underwent the inauguration ceremony as Google Student Ambassadors but also gained firsthand experience of the work ecosystem of a global technology company that emphasizes creativity, innovation, collaboration, and the utilization of cutting-edge technology.
The Google Student Ambassador Program 2026 was followed by approximately 81,000 applicants from all over Indonesia. Of that number, only 2,000 students were declared successful as ambassadors. A small portion of them were then selected as the 150 best participants based on their registration performance to attend the inauguration in person in Jakarta.
The selection of four ISI Yogyakarta students for this program is proof that art students have the capacity to play an active role in the national digital ecosystem. This achievement also shows that art education is not only oriented towards the creation of works, but is also capable of producing a creative generation that is adaptive to the development of technology, artificial intelligence, and digital leadership.
As Google Student Ambassadors, ISI Yogyakarta students will act as a bridge between Google and the student community on campus. They are expected to encourage the productive use of technology, expand digital literacy, and create opportunities for collaboration between art, design, media, performance, and technology.
For ISI Yogyakarta, this achievement strengthens the institution's position as an art higher education institution that continues to adapt to the times. Through student achievements in technology and digital leadership, ISI Yogyakarta reaffirms its commitment to building an art education ecosystem that is relevant, innovative, and impactful for society.
Muflichun Cahyo Saputra expressed pride over the opportunity he received in the event. He hopes that the experience of participating in the inauguration and seeing Google's work environment firsthand will serve as a provision to bring innovative ideas and solutions for students on campus.
This success also serves as an inspiration for ISI Yogyakarta students to continue expanding their learning spaces, not only in the fields of art and culture, but also in technology, digital communication, and global networks. Thus, ISI Yogyakarta continues to affirm itself as an art campus that produces creative, adaptive individuals ready to contribute to a world that is increasingly digitally connected.
