FSRD ISI Yogyakarta Lecturers Explore International Collaboration through Workshop at LUCA School of Arts Brussels

Yogyakarta January 5, 2026 - Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta's efforts to strengthen international networks continue through academic visits to LUCA School of Arts. At the end of January, Dr. Nadiyah Tunnikmah, S.Sn., M.A., lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) ISI Yogyakarta, had the opportunity to visit the LUCA campus to hold a workshop and explore the possibility of collaboration between LUCA and ISI Yogyakarta.

During the visit that took place in Brussels, Nadiyah presented ISI Yogyakarta's profile and academic development to the LUCA academic community. In addition to sharing material and experiences through workshops, the meeting was also filled with discussions about a number of potential collaborative projects - including cooperation opportunities that can be developed within LUCA Brussels.

“This visit is a great opportunity to exchange and learn,” said Nadiyah. She also said that the agenda of the visit includes exploring campus facilities and creative studios at LUCA to see firsthand the ecosystem of learning, practice, and production of artworks that can be a reference for future cooperation development.

This activity reinforces ISI Yogyakarta's commitment to encourage the internationalization of art education through academic diplomacy, knowledge exchange, and opening spaces for cross-country collaboration. ISI Yogyakarta targets cooperation that not only expands networking, but also produces joint programs and projects that have an impact on strengthening the competence of students, lecturers, and the development of the art and design ecosystem at the global level.
