ISI Yogyakarta collaborates with Ruang Anak to organize the Indonesian Children's Festival with the theme "Me and My Self". The Festival Anak Indonesia will be held from July 12 to 24, 2025, at the R.J. Katamsi Gallery, ISI Yogyakarta. The festival is open to the public and can be accessed from 10:00 to 17:00 WIB every day.
The Indonesian Children's Festival was opened by GKR Bendara on July 12, 2025, at the R. J. Katamsi Gallery ISI Yogyakarta at 16.00 until completion. The opening of the festival was attended by the Director of Film, Music and Art of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, the Yogyakarta Culture Office, the Yogyakarta City Youth Education and Sports Office, the Head of the R.J. Katamasi Gallery of ISI Yogyakarta, parents, child artists and invitees.
According to Miyati from Ruang Anak, "This festival presents 200 works from 170 child artists from various cities in Indonesia". At this festival, children or festival visitors can not only watch the works on display but also take part in workshops and movie screenings.
This year, Festival Anak Indonesia took the theme "Me and My Self". Through this theme, the festival organizers hope that festival-goers will be able to recognize their self-concept, determine their values and formulate their goals.
"ISI Yogyakarta will continue to support the organization of festivals that provide space for young artists to show their work to the public," said the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. He also said, through support in organizing the festival ISI Yogyakarta hopes to have a direct impact on society. An impact that provides opportunities for small artists to display their work and stimulates exhibition visitors to be able to recognize their self-concept.
ISI Yogyakarta continues to support the Impact Campus program initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. One of the efforts to support the program is by becoming the host of the 2025 Indonesian Children's Festival. By hosting this festival
provide opportunities for children to showcase their work in art galleries so that it can be appreciated by the community.
Festilah Anak Indonesia 2025 was born from the collaboration between ISI Yogyakarta and Ruang Anak.
