ISI Yogyakarta and Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts (PSG) Silpakorn University collaborated to organize an exhibition entitled "AXIS: Bangkok-Jogja". The exhibition was held at Pendhapa Art Space from June 20 to 22, 2025. The opening of the exhibition was held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 15.00 WIB by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. The organization of this exhibition is to strengthen academic cooperation between Silpakorn University and ISI Yogyakarta, transfer of knowledge and culture between artists from both Indonesia and Thailand.
The exhibition "AXIS: Bangkok-Jogja" features works made directly at Borobudur Temple by lecturers and students of PSG Silpakorn University, said the exhibition curator, Prof. M. Dwi Marianto, MFA, Ph.D.. He also said that other works displayed in this exhibition were the works of lecturers and students of ISI Yogyakarta, as well as several fellow lecturers of PSG Silpakorn University who live in Yogyakarta.
The exhibition resulting from the collaboration of the two universities would not have been successful without the support of Pendhapa Art Space. For the support given by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. expressed his gratitude and hopefully in the future ISI Yogyakarta can continue to collaborate with Pendhapa Art Space. On this occasion, ISI Yogyakarta continued to increase collaboration with international partners in order to maintain and continue to improve ISI Yogyakarta's ranking in the QS World University Ranking.
After the opening of the exhibition, on June 20, 2025 the Silpakorn University PSG delegation met with the Head of ISI Yogyakarta to discuss possible follow-up plans between the two institutions. On this day, the Silpakorn University PSG Delegation also had the opportunity to see various works produced by the ISI Yogyakarta community.
